I visited URBN Dental for the first time after about a year or two from not going to the dentist, so I needed a deep cleaning obviously. By far, it... was my best experience ever! Parking was a breeze in the garage and they validate tickets. I was instantly greeted and within 5 minutes of my appointment time I was called to the back room where they begin to numb my mouth. I have never had a dentist office use numbing gel for a deep cleaning, but it made the process more doable. Dr. Lee administered the anesthesiology to ensure my gums were numb and doing this after having the numbing gel did not hurt as much as it had in the past.Krista was my hygienist and she is the reason I had to write this review! Her attention to detail, coaching me through what she was doing and about to do was TOP TIER! Any time she sensed that I was experiencing pain, she swiftly asked me how I was doing and applied numbing gel if necessary. I also experienced acute trauma to my left ear some years back so when the drill was too much instead of continuing, she proceeded with manually cleaning my teeth. After everything was completed, they gifted me with a Quip toothbrush and several other products to take care of my teeth until my next cleaning! I definitely am glad that I decided to try them out and will be back to ensure my teeth stay as clean as can be!!!read more

Edit: I haven't been here in a while >1 year, but wanted to update my review. My last visit with Dr. Park was horrible. I have a very small mouth and... my jaw opening is smaller than average. Dr. Park made multiple comments to the lovely hygienist "wow these are the most difficult fillings I've ever done." "I'm too tired for this. I need to go home." and also dismissed when I tried to tell her I was in pain (the anesthetic wasn't working on one side). She asked me why I didn't tell her, and I replied that I tried! I haven't been able to floss between my fillings on the upper left side and have chronic pain there. However, I have been too scared to say anything because of how awful that visit was.Review #1: I was overdue for my cleanings and dreading going in. I had a phenomenal experience at the Midtown location. My hygienist, Krista, was very thorough with providing me with detailed information and... preventative measures. from the time I entered the office I was impressed. the vibe (music/art/decor) was a warm hug.all of the equipment was the newest available, gear... is never seen. the xray tech was very kind and skilled. the dental hygienist was cool and laughed at my corny dad jokesDr. Lee was helpful in explain all of my issues and even helped choose to wait to get more top (rose) gold fronts until having a root canal and getting fake tooth. I mean, a Dentist that understands the merits of gold teeth is definitely Htown.Lastly, the business office lady was very kind and understanding in telling me how wack my Delta Dental coverage and that the only thing covered was the consultation. Niy even a cleaning! She also was so helpful as to tell me what kind of coverage to ask for and to seek. I really could not have had a better experience.I was even able to grab a coffee on the way back. PREDATORY! Will try to overcharge you! Went in for a ROUTINE cleaning and they handed me a bill for $3,000. This is an upselling scam. They LIED... ABOUT ME HAVING CAVITIES! I asked if they had sliding scale. The lady looked at me and said “what’s sliding scale?” Y’all are called URBAN dental but don’t know what a sliding scale is to allow URBAN populations to AFFORD HEALTH CARE? Wow! Beware of this place!! The only thing they are interested in is money and not the customer's interest!!!I made an appointment due to gum issue and... sensitivity, the inexperienced and ignorant dentist told me that I have oral cancer!! Of course I got stressed and called oral surgeon doctor on Friday evening that cost me $700. The doctor did a full examination and said that the chance of me having oral cancer is zero from zero!!!!! The stupid dentist that I don’t remember her name diagnosed me with cancer in a second but when I asked her what is the way to treat it she didn’t have idea!! She insisted that I see the surgeon that she referred me and probably that was the only way she can make a buck or two on me!!!! Disgraceful and irresponsible behaviour!!! I am going to file a serious lawsuit for the repeat panic attacks that this ignorant dentist caused me over the weekend!!!! Shame on you!!! This clinic should not be open for the public!!!!read more

URBN Dental is by far the best dentist office experience I’ve encountered! The staff was so kind and welcoming from the front desk to the exam room.... The hygienists were so knowledgeable and educative. Alberto gave a very detailed explanation on what hygienic concerns and care I should attention. Briana conducted the most thorough deep cleaning I have ever experienced. The assistants, Crystal and Yelani, were so helpful and gave awesome direction on what I should expect as well as getting X-rays completed. Before the actual work was commenced the Treatment Planner Roxze went over financials and broke all expenses down. This made me feel comfortable about how I was spending monies and prioritizing my oral hygiene. Mostly, I would like to acknowledge how Dr. Lee made sure my surgery was pleasant, swift and painless! If you want to be charged exorbitant amounts for dental care this is the place you, definitely would not recommend.Thankfully I was only swindled... once - only because my primary dentist was unavailable. They only want to scare you into paying them thousands of dollars for treatments you might not need or at the very least could receive at a much lower cost. Don’t do it.Update: I’ve had two other dental practices look at my teeth and neither found the litany of “concerns” found at my initial and only visit to Urban Dental. Worst dental experience of my life. Cancelled my appointment morning of, rescheduled me for another day to ultimately waste my time and deny me... cleaning. Had three people in my mouth without any cleaning taking place before they sent their front desk lady to "take care of financing". She then showed me numbers no lower than $300 and when I expressed that I wouldn't be comfortable paying those types of figures without getting quotes from other places at least & that I was only interested in a basic cleaning. Upon hearing this, she told me that it wouldn't be right for them to just do a basic cleaning and that I had to get the deep cleaning or they would not be able to do anything for me. After this I left without any cleaning.It makes no sense how they would only do a deep cleaning because of how worried they were about my teeth but would rather send a customer home with no cleaning instead. The most money hungry dentist officer I've ever seen. Would not recommend this place to my worst enemy.read more

**SAW MY REVIEW WAS TAKEN DOWN so here it is AGAIN, an HONEST review- This place is a scam! Would give zero stars if I could. According to Dr.... Jessica Sosa I needed to do some additional treatments when all I came in for was a routine cleaning. She refused to do the routine cleaning because I declined the additional treatments which as another reviewer said was a treatment for gum disease! I don’t have gum disease. If they are so money hungry they need to be upfront about not doing routine cleaning UNLESS you get recommended treatments instead of wasting people’s time with hour long explanations of exaggerated diagnosis and treatments that are outrageously priced! I can only imagine the money they’re making off people who don’t ask for a second opinion before getting these so called “necessary” treatments done. All those five star reviews have to be fake. Do your research before going or you may waste your time and money. Shame on the dentist there for swindling money off people just trying to take care of their teeth.read more

Visited Houston for the weekend then all of a sudden my crown popped out after chewing gum. This was on a late Saturday morning so a lot of places... were closed and except URBN dental. I wasn’t a patient of theirs but after I called to let them know what happened, they took me in last minute and were able to cement my crown back. They were all very helpful and nice and treated me like I was a regular patient. If I lived here, they would be my #1 pick for a primary dentist, even if I had to drive across town.read more

I personally had a really great experience. I’ve had a long history of trauma with dentists as my child dentist was an absolutely terrible person and... actually injured me multiple times growing up. As such I’ve avoided going to the dentist my entire adulthood, but unfortunately that led to issues with my teeth. I had cracked a tooth several months ago and it finally gave way to a giant hole, so I couldn’t wait any longer. I made an appointment for the first emergency time slot and they not only got me in, they got me fixed up. Price wise I didn’t have insurance but I thought it would have been more expensive, so I honestly thought the price was fine that I was quoted. I didn’t get any extra stuff added besides the cavity next to the tooth that needed pulling because it was getting bad as well. They offered to fill 2 other cavities but I requested we do it another time and there wasn’t any backlash or pushing. The staff was extremely kind and even got me extra anesthesia when I requested because I was having a small anxiety attack. The dentist himself didn’t shame me or make me feel bad for the state of my teeth, just got to work and I was shocked how fast he worked. I was in and out with an extraction and filling within an hour. I will definitely be coming back to get the rest of my teeth fixed up and for the first time in my life I’m actually looking forward to going to the dentist to get all my teeth taken care of.read more

I live almost two hours away and had my first appointment at URBN Dental. When I arrived, I was greeted with a warm welcome. Everyone was very... attentive and answered all my questions and concerns. Crista and Hope were exceptional and took good care of me the whole time I was there and went above and beyond. I highly recommend anyone that is looking for a new dentist, to choose URBN Dental. I had not been to the dentist in over 8yrs & randomly selected URBN. I am so happy that I did, as they all took such great care of me from my 1st 2... visits for DEEP CLEANING with a follow-up to have have 4 crowns with a extraction. I’ll start out by saying that Jorge is the nicest hygienist I’ve ever come across. During my care, he ensured that I was safe and satisfied. Made me... feel extremely comfortable. The dental assistant Angela was also super sweet. Dr. Park was amazing as well. The lady who discussed financial aspects with me was assertive but told me the truth, which I was appreciative of the transparency. She was also nice. Everyone here seems to love what they do. Dental care is expensive, but if you can come up with a plan, you’ll be able to get care here. Don’t let anyone pressure you. But as far as my experience…definitely 4/5 stars.read more

Awesome staff!!!Came here for an emergency root canal and temp crown. The front desk was very transparent about their overall price with insurance... before starting treatment. I arrived early for my appointment, and they saw me right away. Everyone (doctors, hygienists, assistants, staff) was friendly, accommodating and... attentive. They informed me of the needed procedures and got everything done in a timely manner. Dr. Park and the team were extremely professional and diligent. The office was lovely and not overwhelming with a bunch of intimidating equipment everywhere, which helped my anxiety. I will definitely be back to Urbn Dental!read more

I needed a new dentist and was not disappointed! The location is great and has modern vibe decor. The staff are all super friendly and... understanding.My dental hygienist, Jorge, took the time to thoroughly explain what kinds of things he was looking for and why they were important on my X-ray and camera images. He took before and after images after my teeth were cleaned and WOW! I am beyond impressed.Also my dentist was great and discovered a previous filling done by another dentist that had cracked and was growing another cavity inside of it. She was able to remove the old silver filling and applied new white fillings that blend in with the color of my teeth.The whole procedure start to finish was painless as the staff took the time to make sure I was comfortable. They even gave me a little goody bag when I was done! Start to finish I am so happy with the service I received.read more

Wow is literally all I can say. The entire staff is simply amazing. I am not one that hates the dentist, but if I were, this would be the perfect... place to go to make me feel the most comfortable. From the moment I stepped inside everything was phenomenal. This was hands down my best experience with a dental office and I’m so glad I decided to come here. Even signing up for an appointment online and filling out all the new patient paperwork was so easy. Every single person I saw and interacted with was amazing and I’m so pleased with my visit and the treatment plan i have going forward. I just had my first dental visit since I moved here in Houston, I went to URBN due to positive reviews—I want to experience it myself.Everyone in... the clinic is so pleasant and accommodating. They make sure that client like me understands the dental issues and the treatment plan. I had a fantastic experience in a clean and organized dental office. Not only were we greeted as soon as we entered the door, the care given was fast... and quality. I appreciated the professionalism, how they listened with and provided an explanation. I could not believe I was able to get same day booking for an emergency. Additionally, the front office team was able to verify my insurance quickly. The app sent to my text was easy to navigate and better than other places I have been. So, I'm going to start this review off by saying i usually HATE going to the dentist.URBN Dental totally changed my feeling on that this morning.... Not only were they very kind, but they also were very thorough and truly explained everything to me. They lay out the prices of everything for you after a consultation and some x-rays/pictures (what your insurance covers and doesn't), so there aren't any surprises at the end. The atmosphere is great and calming. And, it genuinely seemed like they cared, which is hard to find.I definitely recommend going :)read more

I came to URBN dental after a bad experience at my previous dentist. They were great, my teeth are happy again, and he gives you time to ask... questions. The hygienist spent extra time showing me my X-ray and giving me practical recommendations to help me take the best care of *my* teeth. Everyone is friendly. Great atmosphere.read more

WOW! I actually enjoyed going to the dentists office for the first time in my life lol. I came in for a general cleaning. Andrea was my dental... hygienist and she was fantastic. This was probably the best experience I’ve ever had with a cleaning. She is highly skilled at her craft and also very communicative about each step. The dentist was also very pleasant. Just had our first cleaning and had a great experience! They were able to clearly communicate what they saw in the exam and effectively and kindly ... answer any questions we had. They were also frequently asked if we were comfortable and doing alright. Their equipment seemed to be very high quality and gave the most comfortable experience I’ve had at a dentist appointment and that’s saying a lot since the dentist gives me high anxiety. Excellent experience, end to end! First trip to a dentist in nearly a decade and the entire team kept me at ease throughout! Gabby, Ria and Dr.... Golik had to deal with A LOT, but they made it painless and comfortable! Ria runs a flawless office, Gabby's genuine empathy and personality took so much of the fear out of my visits and Dr. Golik performed TWO EXTRACTIONS, one infected, with such precision and expertise that I walked out pain free and was fully recovered in no time. Had an awesome experience there. The office is super cool, clean, modern, and creates a relaxed environment. The staff is amazingly friendly and Dr.... Golik was personable and didn’t try to sell me anything. You can tell they just want the best for you. Receiving a Quip toothbrush as a new patient was also a nice touch. They support local artists by showcasing them at their office and by also having business cards on display. They are more than dentistry, they are an advocate for the community. I'm new to Houston and was looking to find a new dentist. I did a lot of searching and read many reviews... Due to the ease of getting an appointment... and good reviews, I decided on URBN Dental. I couldn't have chosen a better spot.The staff at the office were quite possible the most accommodating, efficient, and talented group I've ever seen in any doctor's office. From time I walked in the door to the time that I walked out, I felt like I was their only patient in the office. And I definitely wasn't. They all had an excellent bedside manner.I would push you to go here before going anywhere else. They have earned my business for as long as I am a Houston resident.read more

Not to mention everyone... that I encountered from the front desk to the dentist were extremely friendly and helpful. Doctor Golik was very sensitive to my needs while I had a few cavities filled. This place was awesome! I love the vibe and local artwork they sell throughout the office. They also have TVs in every room. I had to go in for... emergency tooth pain and every single person was so kind and incredible and helpful. They explained everything to me and answered all my questions! Low key sad I cannot go more than twice a year. This is 100% my favorite dentist I've ever been too so far!!!! If I could give more than 5 stars I would!!!!read more

The team at URBN Dental Midtown is wonderful. They are really welcoming and make you feel very comfortable. When I first came in, I was dealing with... some cavities and gum issues. My dentist and hygienists got me cleaned up, filled my cavities, talked to me about using an electric toothbrush (which is simple but has made a huge difference), and got me a night guard. They offered thorough explanations to my MANY questions and followed up with me after procedures. The folks at the front desk are also very patient and thorough in answering questions about payment. Scheduling appointments with them is very simple and their website is easy to navigate. Would recommend to anyone!read more

URBN Dental provides such friendly service, every-time I am greeted walking in the door with someone using my name and people who treat me like I am... the only patient that they are taking care of that day. They introduced me to my new toothbrush by Quip that I have been using for over 2 years now and I am getting the best feedback on its benefits for my mouths hygiene. I recommend this place to all my friends and I highly suggest if you hated going to the dentist in the past, try this place and it will change your view on keeping you teeth clean and healthy.read more

URBN Dental Midtown has a wonderful office and staff. The front desk receptionist was very welcoming and the back office was also hospitable. The... staff was very informative and explained their processes and answered my questions thoroughly when asked. The hygienist and dentist were able to apply more numbing medication when stopped and allowed time for it to kick in ensuring my comfort during my visit. I never felt like they were rushing me to get in and out. They even gave me a sweet electronic toothbrush as a gift.read more

Urban dental is THE place! Within the week they were able to accommodate me in their busy schedule. The staff is very sweet and walk you through... everything step by step. If you have any questions, don’t be shy - ask away! When in your designated room, you’re able to watch Netflix and have the choice of a blanket with water. Another plus is the free electric toothbrush when departing. Such a great place and would highly recommend to anyone and everyone!read more
